Taupe-less Beach OPI Nail Polish Review

I LOVE the color of Taupe-less Beach. I always thought the color Taupe was more of a beige/gray/brown so the name of this polish didn’t make much sense to me since that’s not really what color it is. It’s more of a beautiful gray with a subtle purple tint. Some people say it looks a tad pink to them but I see more of a purple undertone. Here are some photos in different lighting to see how it can look a little darker or lighter depending on the light.

This shade is an amazing nude option that is especially fitting for fall and winter but looks good in any season. I am normally a gel girlie but got sick of acetone soaks so I decided to go back to the cabinet and try out a regular polish again. This time I added a layer of CND Vinylux top coat to see how long it would make the manicure last. I use Vinylux polish and it lasts way better than most normal polishes so I was curious if the top coat would help since CND is a different brand of OPI but it seemed to work just fine! I went 7 days chip free then got some tiny chips on the top but the overall polish looked mostly decent for ~10 days. Not bad!

  • Solid Quality: OPI is known for good quality, and this polish is no exception. It applies smoothly and dries quickly, which is pretty convenient.
  • The Color: It’s a taupe shade, but with a hint of pink. Not overly dramatic, but a nice twist on a classic nude. It’s versatile and works for most occasions.
  • Durability: This polish holds up well. You won’t find it chipping after just a couple of days, which is a plus if you don’t like redoing your nails too often.
  • Application: It’s easy to apply, even if you’re not a pro at doing your nails. The formula is forgiving, so it looks pretty even without much effort.
  • Seasonal Fit: While it’s a great choice for any time of the year, it really shines in the fall. It’s a subtle way to add a bit of seasonal flair to your look without going overboard.
  • Skin-Friendly: For those with sensitive skin, it’s a relief to know that this polish doesn’t seem to have harsh ingredients. It’s a good pick if you’re cautious about what you put on your nails.
  • Value: It’s a bit more expensive than some other brands, but the quality and longevity make it worth the extra cost. It’s a good investment if you want a polish that lasts and looks professional.
